More Than ATEX —
Hire a Technical Expert
for Industrial Projects
25 years of electrical and HVAC experience, including 17 years on major oil & gas, offshore and petrochemical projects worldwide. E&I inspection, FAT/SAT, project management, site supervision, fault finding — available on a flexible engagement basis.
Available Engagements — In Detail
Each engagement is accepted based on availability, project type and timing. An initial consultation is always required before commitment.
E&I Inspection
On-site inspection of electrical and instrumentation systems — against design documents or for existing installations. Compliance verification, punch list compilation, pre-handover checks. Particularly valuable when the client has no in-house technical site presence.
General industrialFAT / SAT
Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing — conducted or witnessed on behalf of the client. Switchgear, MCCs, control systems, HVAC units. If you cannot be present at the factory or on site, I represent your interests — documented, reported, with clear go/no-go outcomes.
General industrialATEX Inspection
Periodic inspection of Ex equipment in hazardous areas — visual, close and detailed inspection levels per IEC 60079-17. Photo-documented report, prioritised defect list, corrective action recommendations. Full details on the ATEX inspection page.
ATEX specificProject Management
Technical project management for small and medium industrial projects — electrical and HVAC scope. Drawing review, subcontractor coordination, milestone tracking, client reporting. Not desk-based: real technical control with site presence where required.
ManagementSite Supervision
On-site technical supervision of construction or installation work on behalf of the client — verifying that work is carried out in line with drawings, specifications and safety requirements. Particularly valuable when the client has no permanent technical representative on site.
General industrialSite Representative
Representing the client's interests on site — with subcontractors, authorities and engineering firms. Decision preparation, immediate issue escalation, daily reporting. Particularly useful for international or remote clients who cannot maintain a permanent local presence.
RepresentationFault Finding
Systematic fault finding in electrical and HVAC systems — particularly for recurring or hard-to-diagnose failures. Not guesswork: methodical investigation, measurements, documented analysis. 17 years of heavy industry experience means complex systems are familiar territory.
General industrialHVAC Technical Supervision
Design review, construction supervision and commissioning support for industrial HVAC systems. In ATEX contexts, ventilation quality directly influences zone classification and Ex equipment safety — making HVAC a safety-critical system, not just a comfort installation.
General industrialConstruction Coordination
Physical installation is carried out by partner contractors — I provide technical coordination, ATEX and quality compliance oversight, and handover documentation. Single point of technical responsibility for the client, regardless of how many contractors are involved.
ManagementMonthly Retainer Clients
Have Priority Access
My capacity is finite — and I am transparent about this. When multiple engagements arrive simultaneously, clients enrolled in the Monthly ATEX Support programme take precedence.
Priority access for ongoing partners
This does not exclude ad-hoc clients — but scheduling and priority go to monthly retainer partners first. Here is what that means in practice:
- In urgent situations, no waiting — my capacity is reserved for you
- I already know your site, systems and documentation — no ramp-up time needed
- Consistent pricing, predictable monthly budget — no surprise costs
- Faster response time — particularly for fault finding and urgent supervision requests
- Ad-hoc engagements are discounted for retainer clients
How an Engagement Works
Every ad-hoc engagement follows the same straightforward process — no hidden steps, no surprises.

Real Field Experience.
Honest Scope. Clear Limits.
17 Years in Heavy Industry
ExxonMobil, TengizChevroil, AGIP KCO, MAERSK Oil — these are not references from a CV, they are projects where the stakes were real and the standards were uncompromising. That experience transfers directly to your project.
Independent & Objective
No equipment sales, no hidden agenda, no preferred contractors to push. You get honest advice focused on your actual needs — and I tell you if something falls outside my expertise.
One Point of Contact
Whether it's an ATEX inspection, a FAT, or a site supervision role — you deal with one person who understands the full picture. No handovers, no miscommunication between team members.
Transparent About Limits
I do not issue certificates or regulatory permits. I do not produce cosmetic documentation. I do not take on work where I cannot genuinely add value. What I commit to, I deliver.
